Al faham chicken recipe

We all love to have a BBQ party. Whenever there is a family get-together we host a BBQ party and we all sit together around the fire with loud music and it's so much fun. 😍

Al-faham is an Arabian grilled chicken marinated in arabian spices and it is a popular arabian dish. I first tried this dish almost 15 years back when I had been to an arab country and just loved the taste of it. 👌😋
After trying out so many al-faham recipes, I figured out this one tastes almost similar to the one we get in arab countries. So I thought of sharing it here.

Ingredients:
Whole Chicken - 1 kg
Onion - 1 medium
Green chilli - 1
Ginger - 1 small
Garlic - 3 cloves
Youghurt - 1 tbsp
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Pepper pwdr - 1/2 tbsp
Salt - as per your taste
Oil - 2 tsp (sunflower ,olive)
Arabic masala :
Fennel seeds - 1 tbsp
Cumin seed - 1 tbsp
Coriander seed- 1 tbsp
Blackpeppercons - 1 tbsp
Cinnamon sticks - 1 tbsp
Red chilli - 8
Turmeric pwdr - 1 tsp

Preparation:

Roast the arabic masala ingredients. When it cools down put it in the mixer and make it a fine powder. Your arabic masala is ready.
Take onion, tomato, green chilli, ginger, garlic and put it in the mixer and make it a fine paste.
Divide the chicken length wise into two pieces.

For marination:

In a bowl add the whole paste and 1tbsp of arabic masala, lime juice, pepper powder, yoghurt, salt and olive oil. Mix it well . Marinate the chicken.
Rest it for 2-3 hours.
You can either grill the chicken or bake and roast.

To grill:
Fire the charcoal and place the chicken in the grill rack and keep it above the fire..
Allow the coals to burn. Turn it 4 - 5 times for 45 minutes or until it is grilled..
Alfaham is ready to serve. 😋 Have it with khuboos, roti or any types of bread. 👌

Try this recipe and do let me know your thoughts. Hope you like it.  :)
